The Potter and the Clay

I stepped into my quiet place this morning to spend some time with the Lord and picked up an old journal. In it I had written a quote though I am not sure where it came from. It grabbed my attention once again.
"The Bible is odd music, playing in a different key with different instruments, even on a different scale. God subverts asymmetries, more alike than different." All of us are sick with madness in our hearts; each of us needs the physician. And each of us - even the weakest, poorest, and most troubled - is capable of helping any of us in some way when grace gifts us and master's us." John 3:16, For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.
Mattew 4:19, And he said to them, "follow me and I will make you fishers of men."
When I was a little girl God saved my life at the age of 10. I fell in love with Jesus but stepped out of God's will at a young age. I was 30 before I rededicated my life to Christ Jesus. Jesus was relentless in His pursuit of me, and it is only by his grace and mercy I am alive today. Since then, he has worked miracle after miracle in my life, and I have witnessed his wonder working power in the lives of others.
After becoming a potter, I saw how I could allow God to use this gift he has given as a ministry to serve Him. It is a wonderful way to show others exactly what God was showing Jeremiah in Jeremiah Ch. 18 of God's word when He told Jeremiah to go down to the potter's house.
Jeremiah 18:1, The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: 2, Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will let you hear my words. It is an amazing experience to seek a word from God with all your heart and to be at the pottery wheel when he speaks it to you. It is a powerful visual aid. I can't tell you the times I was teaching a pottery class and had to dry the eyes of a broken Mama or friend suffering and in need of a touch from the Lord and someone to pray with.
Many years ago, before I ever imagined having the opportunity to experience the feel of clay as I worked a vessel on the wheel God saved my soul and called me by name. He even made me a prayer warrior. I am still learning to pray. The biggest lesson about prayer is the power is in who we are praying too and is not in the person who is praying. The person praying is required only to have the faith of a mustard seed to move a mountain. (Wow)
Though my life has taken many twist and turns, I believe God would still have me use "The Rooted Potter" as a foundation for my blog. My hope and prayer are for this site to bring God glory in every way.
Let's go! Let's grow together in God's word and in truth while enjoying the art of clay. I hope to share with you some of my experiences. Faith comes by hearing and hearing comes by the Word of God Almighty. My hope is in the Lord Jesus, and my hope for each of you is that he will use this time we have together to enlighten us, to strengthen us and to prepare us.
Heavenly Father,
Psalm 102:7
1, Bless thy Holy Name, Bless the Lord oh my soul; Oh, bless the Lord with all that is within me, 2, Bless the Lord oh my soul. And forget not all His benefits; 3, Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4, Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your mouth is renewed like the eagles.
Father if we are alive today and have air in our lungs we are blessed. May we rise up and be a blessing to others for thy glory for you are a righteous and holy God to all those who call upon your name. In Jesus name, Amen
